Set Up Your Form Endpoint

Where do I find my form endpoint?

Open All Forms, click your form, and go to the Form Setup tab. Your endpoint is at the top, with a copy button next to it. It looks like this:

The same URL appears on the form card in All Forms as the Form ID endpoint, so you can grab it from there too.

What does my HTML form need?

Three things, and they're the ones people miss most:

1. action set to your endpoint.
2. method="POST".
3. A name on every input you want to keep. A field without a name is dropped, and you'll get an email with half the data.

Use real names like email and message, not field_1. Those names become the labels in your notification emails and in the Submissions table, so you'll thank yourself later.

Which code examples are on the Form Setup tab?

The tab has copy-ready examples for HTML, React, Vue, Next.js, Angular and Ajax. Pick your stack, copy the snippet, and your endpoint is already filled in.

How do I send a test submission?

Click Send Test Submission on the Form Setup tab. Formbold sends a sample entry to your form, so you can check your inbox and connected apps before your site is live.

For a fuller test with your own values, use the Test Form tab.

Test with a real inbox first. Send one test, open the email on your phone, and make sure it didn't land in spam. It's much easier to fix that now than after launch.
