Advanced spam protection with classifier filters
Formbold now includes an advanced, classifier-based spam and security filter. Turn individual detectors on or off from Spam & Security Settings.
Formbold now ships an advanced spam protection and filtering system based on classifiers. Open any form, go to Spam & Security Settings, and turn on the detectors that match the junk you actually get.
Basic Spam Filter still runs Formbold’s built-in detection rules. On top of that, you can enable classifiers one by one:
- Disposable Emails — stops temporary domains like mailinator or 10minutemail
- Spammy URLs — link shorteners, invite links, raw IPs and blacklisted domains
- Marketing Spam — unsolicited SEO, backlink, web-design and outsourcing pitches
- Adult Content — adult solicitation and platform promotions
- Fraud Scams — advance-fee, lottery and phishing-style messages
- Drug Sales — unsolicited pill and substance pitches
- Crypto Scams — wallet phishing, fake airdrops and investment lures
- Abusive Language — profanity, insults and slurs aimed at you or your team
Each classifier is a simple toggle, so you can keep the filters that protect your inbox and leave the rest off. Submissions that match a turned-on classifier are blocked as spam.
